UPDATED 3/31: Comics are now ready!

UPDATED 3/31:

We are almost finished with the shipment, so you are welcome to pick up comics now! Thanks for your patience, everyone.

Old post:

Hello, everyone. Unfortunately, due to shipping issues, our comics from Diamond will not be ready for purchase on Wednesday morning. We’re monitoring our shipment very closely and will do our best to get everything ready as soon as we can. We’ll update this post and our social media channels when we know more. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

This week’s DC comics are available now.

This evening (March 30th) we’ll be doing another one of our bi-weekly Facebook stream sales. Join us at 4PM (MST) on our page if you’d like to participate.

Weather Closure 3/14

Time Warp will be closed on Sunday, 3/14/21 due to snow and road conditions. As of now we don’t plan to be closed 3/15, but if that plan changes we will send an update out via our website, email, and all social media.

Stay warm and drive safe.

UPDATED 3/3, comics will be available today

UPDATE 3/3

Hello everyone, we have received this week’s shipment from Diamond and we are working on it as I type. We’ll update our social media when everything is done, but everything should be ready within the next couple of hours (it is nearly noon at time of writing).

Original post:

Diamond Comics is currently working through their backlog of books delayed by last week’s weather. Because of this, they haven’t shipped out our new books for this week yet. Right now, we aren’t sure when books will come in. As soon as we know more, we’ll be telling you what we know on all social media channels.

As a reminder, we did get in last week’s comics on Friday afternoon. If you haven’t been in since then, there are new-to-you books on the self and ready to be browsed.

Also, we’d like to personally thank all of our friends and customers for being so patient and caring about this whole ordeal. Having to give this sort of bad news is always hard on us, and having people be so understanding helps everyone on staff stay a little more sane.

UPDATED 2/23: Comics Shipping Delay for the Week of 2/24

Due to bad winter weather, comics from Diamond are delayed, and we do not presently know when we’ll have them available for sale. We’ll be updating all social media and this post we know more.

Original post:

Due to bad winter weather, comics for next week will be delayed. According to Diamond, next weeks comics will arrive in store at the earliest on the 24th. So expect that we’ll be able to have comics out for sale in the late afternoon on the 24th at the earliest. We’ll be updating all social media as we know more.

Also, this delay won’t affect DC books, because they’re distributed through Lunar.

A Giving Time of Year

Winter is coming. For some people that means celebrations, gifts, and warm fireplaces. For others, it means one of the coldest, hardest times of the year.

Here at Time Warp, we count ourselves lucky that we’re able to support charities that ease the burden on folks a bit. We’re a drop off point for the 4th Annual Cosplay Toy & Food Drive. There’s an Event if you’re comfortable meeting up in person, but if you can’t or shouldn’t then we’re more than happy to take donations on their behalf. We can also do socially distanced car drop off if you’re not comfortable coming in the store. Just call us at 303-443-4500 and leave your donations outside your car in the Time Warp parking lot and we’ll come out and pick them up for you.

Charitable giving has been at the same time both much more necessary and much harder this year. Homelessness, joblessness, and food insecurity are real threats for a great many more people, the mass action needed to provide aid are harder than ever, and those already in need find themselves in the awful position where seeking out shelter or support can be dangerous on its own. Do what you can, when you can.

“That person who helps others simply because it should or must be done, and because it is the right thing to do, is indeed without a doubt, a real superhero.” -Stan Lee
